Giannis Antetokounmpo does not want to be the face of the NBA and rather suggest James Harden or Kevin Durant to take up that role

After guiding the Milwaukee Bucks to their second NBA Championship, Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently on top of the world and already there are rumours of him being the face of the league. The Greek Freak who is one of the best players in the league has made it clear that he wishes to run the stretch with the Bucks again and win the title in the following season.

Giannis has already won two MVP titles, one Defensive Player of the Year title and also one Finals MVP title that he won for his heroic performances in the finals against the Phoenix Suns. Considering his attitude and work ethic the Greek Freak is ready to replicate this journey in the next season as well.

However, there are discussions already that Giannis Antetokounmpo can turn out to be the face of the NBA in coming years. The chances have increased after he dropped a heroic performance and won the finals against the Suns. The Bucks came from behind to take the title and it was mostly due to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s all round play, Khris Middleton’s leadership and scoring and Jrue Holiday’s defence which made things work for the Milwaukee Bucks and helped them earn their second NBA Championship.

The Greek freak who averaged 35.2 points per game in his first NBA finals has addressed the noises made by the fans of him being the next face of the NBA. The youngster from Greece now currently stands at the same level as LeBron James and even Kevin Durant. He is still young and if he continues to win in the next couple of years he can definitely be the face of the NBA.

His heroics at the finals against the Suns may justify a lot of calls of him being the best player in the world right now. His ability to dominate on both ends of the court also makes him a very exciting prospect to watch out for.

But Giannis Antetokounmpo has clearly stated that his total focus will be on working hard and winning the title again with the Bucks. He clearly stated that he is not bothered about entering the league as one of the best in the league and also by hearing him be the face of the NBA. He said that players like Kevin Durant or James Harden should be the face of the league.

“I don’t care about being the face of the NBA. KD or Harden can be. I want to be with my kids and my family, i want to win and enjoy the game. I want to be Giannis the hard worker,” Giannis said while spending his holidays in Greece with his family.

Even after winning the title last season, the Greek Freak will not sit idle. He will be eager to start afresh next season and win the whole thing again.
