James Harden is among the top stars in the NBA and he has had his fair share of jumping from one franchise to another. He is currently with the Brooklyn Nets and before that, he has spent a considerable amount of time with his past franchises.
Harden’s exploits in the NBA over the years have made him one of the biggest names in the sport. Former NBA star Eddie Johnson opened up on Harden’s future at the Brooklyn Nets. Johnson currently works as a co-host on Sirius XM radio’s ‘NBA Today Show’. He highlighted that it must be tough on Harden to see another point guard return in a kind of situation that he has faced in past franchises.
“James Harden left Houston to join two tremendous players to win a chip and now for the next 2 months he finds himself back in the very situation he fought hard to get out of, adjusting to a talented point guard ( like CP3, Russell Westbrook) but only for road games,” Johnson revealed.
Johnson’s NBA career almost last for two decades, starting from 1981 to 1999. He joined the Houston Rockets in 1997 and played for them till 1999 when he finally called time to his NBA career.
Johnson was asked how Harden will adapt to Kyrie Irving’s return to the Nets. He pointed out how Harden was brought to Brooklyn to pair up with Irving and Durant to help the franchise win the NBA Championship. Johnson also hinted at trade rumours for the Beard who is probably one of the most wanted players in the NBA right now.
Durant after all his heroics with Golden State Warriors joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 as they look to revamp the roster. Later Kyrie Irving followed Durantula to strengthen their ranks. Later in 2021, Harden also joined the Nets after a stint with the Houston Rockets. The Brooklyn Nets finally completed the new Big three to compete for the NBA Championship. They failed to win the title last season due to several injury problems but this season they are back again and are all set to win the title.
