It has been a tough offseason for the Brooklyn Nets with the constant rumours of their top two stars players leaving. Recently they have received a trade request from their superstar Kevin Durant. Before this there was a big fiasco with Kyrie Irving opting out but then just when things were supposed to settle down, it became worse for the Nets. While Kyrie has opted for the player option, Durant could not take it any longer and has decided to join somewhere else.
Most fans and experts have pointed out Kyrie Irving as the culprit for Durant’s trade request. Mos tof them think that Durantula got bored and annoyed with Kyrie’s constant tantrums and decided to call it a day on this franchise and their duo.
It is not a handful of people who think this way but majority have pointed out Kyrie Irving’s recent behavioral issues and his incessant need to revolt against the franchise as a major reason for Durant to leave the Nets as he grew tired of all this last season. He is someone who is looking to win another Championship and all these issues always affect the mentality of the team and that was evident last season as they got swept in the first round by the Boston Celtics.
The recent member who also think that its Kyrie Irving’s fault is ESPN expert and former player Matt Barnes. Although he believes that KD could not take more of Kyrie’s drama, he also shares that KD will receive a fair share of criticism for his decision to move away from the Nets.
“Whether this actually comes out his mouth or not KD was tired of Kyrie’s bullshit! Obviously the Nets were too,” Barnes tweeted. “KD most likely will take a lot of heat for this move but I don’t blame him. This is all Kyries fault!!”
The duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant did not work out as they are coming to a close, it was more or less very ineffective. In these two years o being together, both the players have bene together on court for only 44 games out of minimum 164 appearances. One of the best duos of two NBA superstars only have one playoff win to show for.
According to ESPN Insider, Brian Windhorst, the Lakers could help the duo play again. Windhorst believes that the Lakers are planning something to bring Kyrie and KD back together as they create a viable package. “It has been floated to me,” Windhorst said, “that the Lakers would potentially have a package that you could trade for both of them.”
