After losing the first two matches, the Milwaukee Bucks have pulled one back in the NBA Finals. They have to take courage from their win and continue in the same way. Things will ease out a little if they manage to restore parity in Game 4.
The Bucks won mainly due to their attack which was led by their talismanic Giannis Antetokounmpo. He scored 41 points and guided the bucks to a 120-100 win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 3. The Bucks fans will want more of the same in the next couple of games to complete the turnaround.
The Bucks were three points behind the Suns at the end of the first quarter and from there it was all Giannis throughout the game. They were also solid in defence as they forced the Suns to take tough shots and commit mistakes leading to turnovers. The Suns struggled to keep pace with the Bucks as Chris Paul was their highest scorer with only 19 points whereas Jae Crowder and DeAndre Ayton ended the night with 18 points each.
Speaking about the close contest of the NBA finals, NBA legend and TNT analyst Reggis Miller highlighted the importance of Giannis Antetokounmpo to this Milwaukee Bucks side. ” If he [Giannis] is going to settle for threes, they [Bucks] are going to lose, they’re going to lose the NBA Championship. To me, their dare shots that teams give him, make up the difference. I don’t care if they’re giving me dare shots, [they] make up the difference,” he said during his appearance on the Dan Patrick show. “In Game-1, he wasn’t sure. He was still worried about the hyperextension of the knee, he wasn’t playing the game instinctually.”
Miller was very much impressed with Giannis’ quick recovery from his injury and how he took the onus on himself to perform at the big stage. “Greek freak, you know. He mends remarkable, and how he’s finishing too. Because the moves are crisp, they’re clean, they’re decisive,” he added.
The Bucks are on the verge of creating history if they restore parity in the NBA finals. It will be a very exciting affair for the neutrals as they want these two teams to fight till the stretch. Mike Budenholzer and his men will hope that the Greek Freak can keep up with his fantastic form from the last game.
