The Golden State Warriors will be looking to defend their title this season. While there have been several noises especially after the Draymond Green and Jordan Poole incident, many people believe that both the players cannot co-exist in the same team. However many believe that the same thing happened with Steve Kerr when he was with the Chicago Bulls and they finally ended up winning the Championship.
The Dubs have won four titles in eight years and former NBA Champion IMan Shumpert believes that the Warriors have enough talent in their ranks that they will keep on contending for the titles. He highlights how the Warriors are stacked with players other than Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. He points out the young core of the Dubs and believes that they will help the legacy forward in the coming years.
During a VLAD TV interview, Shumpert shared how the Dubs core has been playing with each other for a long time and the nucleus of the team has been the same. Hence it makes the organization a one tightly knit unit. “They’re gonna be in the realm. It’s not like they finna miss the playoffs unless they not healthy. They know how to play ball, especially guys that know each other. They’ve been playing together. So, their nucleus, they’ve been playing together for so long. It’s so hard to get in between that,” Shumpert stated.
Shumpert then shared how the younger players also know how to shoot. He highlights how the players are not going to move around and dunk, they are going hit long range threes or hit it out with a jump shot.
While discussing the recent incident that happened between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole, Shumpert highlighted how the Warriors must still be in title contention. Draymond has already apologized to the organization, fans and also to Jordan Poole for his inappropriate behavior during a training session.
While the Dubs will be desperate to win their fifth title in nine seasons, the recent incidents have resulted in a lot of people believing that there are a lot of dressing room issues at the Warriors. In the recent ‘Undisputed episode NBA expert Shanon Sharpe shared that if the Warriors can get out of this mess then it will speak volumes about how the organization is run by the officials.
“If they can move forward with this, Golden State got the best organizational locker room in the history,” Sharpe shared.
