ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith shares how Warriors talisman does not even need LeBron James after he picks Curry as the player to pair up

In playoffs basketball, there have been a lot of talks here and there already about players wanting to move to some particular franchise and being vocal about it. Recently LeBron James shared how out of the current NBA stars he would like to pair up with Steph Curry. He complimented Curry’s game and tagged him as the greatest shooter to ever grace the NBA.

“In today’s game? S**t, there’s some motherf***rs in today’s game, but Steph Curry. Steph Curry is the one that I would want to play with for sure in today’s game… Right now it’s Steph. I love everything about that guy. Lethal,” said the Los Angeles Lakers talisman, LeBron James.

Curry responded to James’ comments in an appearance on ‘95.7 The Game’. The Chef shared how he has enjoyed teaming up with LeBron in the last two All-Star games. Respecting the King’s opinion Curry did not take it seriously. He said, “Well, he got his wish. He’s picked me in the last two All-Star games. I don’t know if that suffices, but I’m good right now. Whenever you get the interest or curiosity of what it would be like to play with arguably an MVP calibre dude like he is, one of the greatest of all time, cool. Like that’s amazing. We all can live in that fantasy world, though.”

He feels right at home at Golden State and moving out from here will be a big decision that only Curry should make. For now, he wants to win more Championships in the coming years. So pairing up with LeBron James definitely takes a backseat.

ESPN’s NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith shared how Steph Curry is a championship away from matching LeBron and two away from having more than any superstar right now in the NBA. So if he has come so far without the King’s help he wishes to continue that going forward. Smith feels that Curry does not need LeBron as it is the other way round story.

“Steph knows he’s just one ring short of matching LeBron’s four. Just two away from having the most championships of any superstar player from this generation. We’re talking legacies, a competition for rings. Steph made it this far without LeBron. Now, he’s made it clear he can handle things from here,” Stephen A. Smith explained.

While the Lakers missed the playoffs due to their atrocious performances, Golden State Warriors are in the playoffs and have defeated the Denver Nuggets in their first game of the first round.
