Stephen Curry is arguably the best player in the NAB right now. While a few others may stake claim to that tag, Curry will surely be up there among two or three players rightfully contending for that tag. The Chef has been sensational and it does not end his personal accolades. NBA fans simply cannot get enough of how he revolutionised the league with his long range shooting.
A lot of people believe that Curry’s impact on the NBA is similar to Michael Jordan back in his Chicago Bulls days. MJ did put NBA on the global map and Curry has simply taken it forward with his different playing style. He has influenced an entire generation of NBA players. So people often try to compare the two greats of the game judging the best out of them.
Warriors star Draymond Green who has played with Curry for his entire career also came up with this bodl comparison. In a conversation with Chelsea Gray and Too $hort,Green heaped praise on his teammate Curry and highlighted the impact he has had in basketball in general. He said, “I think the NBA is a very copycat league you know I’m saying? So because it was you as us like oh man, Steph Curry shoot the sh*t out the ball, like Klay Thompson shoot the sh*t out the ball.”
Green also spoke about how the duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson inspired an entire generation of basketball players. “And then you see these young kids come in and it’s like Steph is like their MJ. You know, like everybody wants to shoot the long three. You walk in the gym, you see little kids slaying that thing from like 40 feet out. But that’s the Steph Curry and Klay Thompson effect, you know,” the Warriors star added.
While Jordan may boast of more NBA Championships than Curry, the Chef’s impact on the sport cannot be denied by any chance.
Curry has been sensational for the Warriors this season aswell and with Klay Thompson’s return, they are one of the contenders to win the NBA Championship this season. They currently dropped down to the second position in the Western Conference after they lost against the Milwaukee Bucks recently.
