The Boston Celtics duo are considered the best duo in the NBA currently as both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been sensational for the franchise leading them to the top of the Eastern Conference and have been the best team in the league for some time now. Apart from doing well this season they have been supremely consistent last time as well as they reached the finals and only missed out against a superior Golden State Warriors.
While the fans are used to seeing Brown and Tatum playing and vibing together. But in the NBA All-Star game in Utah, the scenes were totally different as Tatum was a part of Team Giannis whereas Brown was picked by LeBron James in his team. While Tatum and Brown sent out a statement with their sensational performances for their respective team, there was an instance which rocked the social media especially amused the Celtics fans where Brown took a step back three over teammate tatum and after draining the three, he let him and the fans know about it with a ‘too small’ celebration.
Tatum, who was defending Brown in that play, cracked into laughter after seeing his Celtics teammate do that celebration. But he came back with a trey of his own where he brought out his ‘kiss of death’ celebration to match that of Brown.
It was a memorable All-Star game for Celtics star Jayson Tatum as he scored 55 points, highest ever in an All Star game. Therefore he also bagged the prestigious NBA All-Star Most Valuable Player as he guided Team Giannis to win by 184-175. Tatum had exceptional statistics as he finished with 55 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Whereas his Celtics teammate, Jaylen Brown also made the most of his opportunity as he scored 35 points and had 14 rebounds alongwith five assists.
The Celtics dynamic duo were sensational as they left a mark on the All-Star game in Utah. The duo despite playing for different teams combined for 90 points and proved once again why they are among the best duos in the league right now. They will once again take the field for the Celtics against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday but for now they will look to take some time off and spend most of their time with their family and friends.
