It’s never a dull day at the bubble, and if you are looking forward to games, it would be good to make your own predictions, especially if you are placing bets. So here are some Thursday Match Predictions.
First on the list is the game between Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics. So far, the Celtics have had a good run in the bubble, winning most of their fixtures. They made a statement when they defeated the Toronto Raptors, last season’s NBA champions, 122-100.
We’ve felt the playing force of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, a dynamic duo who have been leading in points. It is not difficult to tell that with the two still in the game, the Celtics have brighter days ahead in the bubble and even beyond. The same, however, cannot be said for the Wizards, who are yet to win any match as at Sunday, August 9. The struggle still continues for them, and there is very little chance that they would win their match against the Celtics.
If their last meeting (against Celtics) is anything to go by, the point difference does not instill much faith that the Wizards would be able to triumph against their opponent. That fixture was also the first time in over 10 meetings that the total scoreline was not up to 200 points. But with Tatum and Brown still delivering 3 points like no man’s business, one can expect Celtics to easily post over 100 points like they have done in all their fixtures in the bubble.
After that, Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers go down. Lakers have always played a better game against Kings, looking at their history. But the Lakers have lost some games in the bubble, including the ones they were expected to win like their fixtures against Oklahoma City Thunder (105-86) and Indiana Pacers (116-111).
LeBron James and Anthony Davis have continued the task of leading the team. Davis earned his team victory after scoring 42 points in their game against Utah Jazz (116-108), so there is still fire left in the team, although they have not lived up to expectations. Sacramento Kings are having a hard time at the bubble, but De’Aaron Fox still carries his team when necessary, which is something we have to pay attention to. But one can easily expect the match to have a scoreline of over 200 points.
The last match we would be reviewing is the fixture between the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies. The Bucks have continued their run with the most wins, defeating the Miami Heats, but they could not repeat the success against the Dallas Mavericks last Saturday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has not still stopped scoring his 30+ points in each game, making the Bucks very domineering. The Grizzlies are struggling in the bubble, although they won their last Friday game against Oklahoma City Thunder (121-92). Against the Bucks, the Memphis stands very little chance. Although an upset is possible, it is also highly unlikely.
