Thursday, August 6, is packed full with a range of games taking place at the Disney Resort, Orlando, Florida. Here are some predictions for matches that would hold that day.
The first one on the line is the Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks game. If we are to go by the record of this season, then it may seem obvious that the Bucks do not stand any chance against the Miami side. But the last season was very different, as the Bucks won 3 out their 4 meetings between 2018 and 2019 with a wide gap. It might be tough to tell which way the game would go if you use their meetings of this season alone. Currently, the Bucks have a solid record of 54 wins and 12 losses this season. MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, resumed the season with a familiar habit, scoring 36 points in the Bucks game against the Boston Celtics.
From the look of things, the Bucks are still a formidable team, and anyone coming their way would have to be careful, even a team like Heat. Bucks have a better chance of winning the match.
In the next fixture, we have the Los Angeles Clippers against the Dallas Mavericks. Recent meetings have shown that the Mavericks have to tread carefully when against the Clippers. The Clippers have played 2 games since the season began, losing their first against the Los Angeles Lakers by 2 points and winning the next against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Paul George has been outstanding so far, scoring 30 and 28 points in the first and second games, respectively. The Mavericks lost their Friday game against the Houston Rockets by 4 points. But Kristaps Porzingis scored 39 points while Luka Doncic achieved a triple-double with 28 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds. The game went into overtime, thanks to a 3-point throw by Doncic.
After that, we get to look at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Houston Rockets match. Before anything, let us acknowledge that James Harden played one of his best games ever against the Dallas Mavericks, scoring 49 points and was very key in securing their victory when the game went to overtime.
Russell Westbrook also went hard in that game, scoring 31 points. Anthony Davis and LeBron James are the Lakers’ highest scorers in their two fixtures in the bubble, and they would both be present in the fixture against Rockets. They had earlier established themselves as the king of Los Angeles after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, July 30.
