It has been a journey, since last year October, but we are finally in the finals. Miami Heat triumphed over the Boston Celtics in Game 6, securing the crown as the King of the East Conference. Los Angeles Lakers enjoyed a similar fate as they overcame the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. They are now the King of the West Conference and would battle it out with the team from Miami to secure their 17th NBA Championship title.
The first game for this week is on Wednesday at 9:00 PM E.T with Miami having the home position, but that does not count as an advantage in the bubble. This is the first time the two teams are meeting, not just at the Finals, but the Playoffs. Lakers won 4 of their past five games, two of which took place in this season and the other two in the last season. With that stats, we can understand that the Heat, based on history, struggles around the Lakers. Lakers enjoy the Favourite position with better odds of winning.
But based on recent plays, Heat is clearly in form, which is evident in how they cleared Milwaukee Bucks before going to face Nuggets, and they plan to keep up with that trend.
The other game on Friday would follow a similar pattern. It is very evident that it is going to be a struggle for both teams. Based on recent performance, the Lakers have always finished with over 100 points, in most cases as much as 110 points, same with Miami Heat. A final score of over 200 points is expected from their meetings.
The Finals would feature 7 games, if necessary, but the first team to win four games would be the winner. We have just two games this week with more games coming up next week.
